Hello World I’m Ayla

Hi,

I’m Ayla Grace Cortez. I am just about to be two days old.

I am still trying to get adjusted to this weird place and these two people, someone called parents. All I know is that I was extremely comfortable for the last nine months. One moment I am floating around trying figure out the difference between toes and fingers and the next thing I’m going down a slippery slope towards a bright light. When I got to the end I felt cold and then saw all these giants. I couldn’t help but scream out of fear. Then I was handed to a beautiful lady, who I now know is my mommy. She held me and told me she loved me. That is when I knew I’d be ok. Then this man, known as daddy, looked at me and said “Hello Ayla, welcome home.” That was comforting, because moving is a tough deal without help.

After a few moments some nice lady tookme away for a bath. I was just getting warm again and woosh back to freezing.

Trust me on this one, spend the extra 3 bucks and get the shampoo. Aaah! One of life’s great little pleasures.

After all the hustle and bustle I got to spend some alone time with my daddy.

Daddy started telling me how special I was. He told me his 5 I Am Statements he teaches on. He said I was significant and that the world will never be the same because I am here now. He said that God created me for purpose and he and mommy will help me find it. As far as I know my only purpose is to eat, cry and poop. So far I am fulfilling it like the Champion daddy says I am. He says that I am to live like a Champion for myself and a Champion for others. He told me I was a loving being because I have a heart of love to give and to receive. That made me feel good. Then he said I am capable because God has put special talents and desires in me and that I can do great things to help change the world. I am not sure, but I think I changed my family’s world. I guess he’s right I do make a difference.

After getting home I was shown all my stuff. Wow, I have a ton of clothes. I am going to be stylin, watch out Tyra. Thank you to everyone. My parents say a lot of people have been waiting to meet me. I am excited to be loved by so many, God is awesome. I have a blessed life already.

Since being home I have stayed true to my purpose of eating, crying, and pooping. Life is good. My parents look tired though, not sure why. They don’t seem to be able to sleep while I’m practicing my American Idol routine. Well time to go pracite, I’ll write again soon.

Love Ya,

Ayla Grace Cortez

  1. Hi Joseph,
just wanted to tell you that you and Oakley have a beautiful baby and I am very happy for you both. Really cute how you made the story like Ayla was telling it. How funny.

God bless you both and Baby Ayla.
